Neurovascular Regulation in Diabetes

Neurovascular regulation plays a critical role in maintaining blood flow and nutrient delivery in diabetic patients. Dysregulation of neurovascular function can lead to complications such as diabetic neuropathy and retinopathy. In diabetes, elevated glucose levels can damage endothelial cells, impairing nitric oxide production and vascular responses.
