Biography:
Athena Cohen studied Chemistry at Emory University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in South Asian Studies. She then pursued her medical education at Tulane University School of Medicine, where she is currently an MD candidate. During her studies, she joined several research projects and has presented her research at national and international conferences and has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. She especially enjoys exploring how social determinants of health impact access to care, disease progression, and health equity.
