Once wounds develop, advanced therapies such as bioengineered skin substitutes, growth factor treatments, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy improve healing outcomes. Early intervention with antimicrobial strategies and surgical debridement can prevent severe complications like gangrene and amputation. With a multidisciplinary approach, diabetes-related foot complications can be effectively managed, preserving mobility and quality of life.
